ABSTRACT Gabriel Grisley, a German physician, came to Portugal and founded a garden near the Xabregas River in Lisbon, during the 1610s under the Spanish kings' rule. In view of the utility a botanic garden represented for the kingdom, he was able to obtain a royal privilege from King João IV during the Restauration War against the Spanish (1640–1668).

Maternal Chrono‐Nutrition and Placental DNA Methylation: The BiSC Study

Caracterización del componente arbóreo de cercas vivas en sistemas agroforestales en el departamento de Nariño

Este estudio se realizó en los municipios de Guachucal y Cumbal, departamento de Nariño, donde se caracterizó el componente arbóreo presente en cercas vivas. Se seleccionaron 20 fincas por municipio, las cuales fueron estratificadas de acuerdo a su área, obteniendo 3 estratos: I (0,5 - 3 ha), II (3,1 - 6 ha) y III (> 6 ha).
