Comparative chromosome banding studies in the family Cercopithecidae

Human Evolution, 1986
Comparative banding studies in eight species of the family Cercopithecidae, subfamily Cercopithecinae allowed us to identify the chromosomes that have been conserved and those that have undergone structural changes. The results suggest that while the ancestral karyotype of the Cercopithecini was probably similar to that ofCercopithecus aethiops, the ...

Dental remains of Plio–Pleistocene Cercopithecidae (Mammalia: Primates) from Romania

Journal of Human Evolution
The superfamily Cercopithecoidea had a broad spatial distribution and occupied a wide variety of habitats across Europe from the Late Miocene until the Middle Pleistocene. Cercopithecines, such as macaques, showed more flexibility in habitat preferences, whereas colobines tended to be more sensitive to environmental differences.

Long bone structural proportions and locomotor behavior in Cercopithecidae

Journal of Human Evolution, 2019
Limb bone articular and diaphyseal proportions have been shown to relate to locomotor behavior in broad comparisons across catarrhines, but comparisons among phylogenetically and functionally more closely related species may be particularly useful in investigating form-function relationships that can be applied to fossil taxa.
