The Cerebrospinal Fluid Proteins in Multiple Sclerosis

Clinics in Laboratory Medicine, 1986
A specific and reliable diagnostic test for MS does not currently exist. However, most patients afflicted with this disorder demonstrate both qualitative and quantitative changes in CSF proteins. An abnormal immunoglobulin fraction synthesized within the CNS is frequently found to be electrophoretically distinct from other proteins of the CSF and ...

Functional Analyses of Embryonic Cerebrospinal Fluid Proteins

2019
The embryonic cerebrospinal fluid (eCSF) influences neuroepithelial cell behavior, affecting proliferation, differentiation, and survival. One major question to resolve in the field is to precisely describe the eCSF molecules responsible and to understand how these molecules interact in order to exert their functions.

On the τ-protein in cerebrospinal fluid

Journal of the Neurological Sciences, 1975
128 cerebrospinal fluid samples were obtained. About 5 mul of each of the samples was subjected unconcentrated to agar gel electrophoresis. The remaining 44 of these samples were concentrated and the concentrates were electrophoresed. The proteins were stained. Analysis of the relative mobilities of the peaks makes two conclusions possible: the albumin
