IRRIGATED COMMON BEANS SUBMITTED TO DIFFERENT DOSES AND PERIODS OF MANGANESE APPLICATION

open access: yesRevista de Agricultura Neotropical, 2021
Brazil is the largest beans producer, and this legume is one of the primary sources of plant-based proteins. Some minerals, such asmanganese, are essential for this crop development.

Phase Angle Effects on 3-micron Absorption Band on Ceres: Implications for Dawn Mission

open access: yes, 2015
Phase angle-induced spectral effects are important to characterize since they affect spectral band parameters such as band depth and band center, and therefore skew mineralogical interpretations of planetary bodies via reflectance spectroscopy.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Daily variability of Ceres' Albedo detected by means of radial velocities changes of the reflected sunlight [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Bright features have been recently discovered by Dawn on Ceres, which extend previous photometric and Space Telescope observations. These features should produce distortions of the line profiles of the reflected solar spectrum and therefore an apparent ...

Affecting the Properties of Copper–Graphene Electroconductive Composite by Severe Plastic Deformation

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Copper‐based composites enhanced with carbon feature convenient mechanical properties and favorable electric conductivity. Processing via deformation and thermomechanical treatments can introduce advantageous microstructures further enhancing their performance. Herein, copper–graphene powder‐based composites are directly consolidated via rotary swaging

Small‐Molecule Activation of mRNA Translation by Click‐to‐Release Reaction in Cells

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A new method to control mRNA activity using bioorthogonal click‐to‐release reactions is presented. The 5′ cap is modified with a trans‐cyclooctene (TCO) that quickly reacts with hydroxyaryl‐tetrazines and efficiently releases the native cap 0. TCO‐capped mRNAs are initially translationally inactive but can be activated with non‐toxic, cell‐permeable ...

Seriously Ceres [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Within maritime logistics the containerised trade market is growing rapidly with the uprising of the Far East. European container port competition among the ports in the Le Havre-Hamburg range is fierce as they are threatened by a shortage of terminal capacity.
