Conversion kinetics of cerium oxide into sodium cerium sulfate in Na₂SO₄-H₂SO₄-H₂O solutions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The conversion of cerium oxide (CeO₂) into sodium cerium sulfate (NaCe(SO₄)₂·H₂O) in Na₂SO₄–H₂SO₄–H₂O solutions was studied at elevated temperatures using a batch-type glass reactor under atmospheric pressure.

THE OXIDATION OF CERIUM : A SXAPS STUDY

open access: yesLe Journal de Physique Colloques, 1987
The valence transition of trivalent γ-Ce to tetravalent cerium with oxidation has been studied with Soft X-ray Appearance Potential Spectroscopy (SXAPS). The spectra are discussed within the framework of the Gunnarsson-Schönhammer-model. The inclusion of multiplet effects allows the determination of the 4f-count of cerium in CeO2.

A narrow bandgap Schottky heterojunction Fe2N/CeO2 microneedle triggering sonodynamic reactive oxygen species storm for drug‐resistance‐free skin fungal infection

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
Inorganic sonosensitizers suffer from inefficient electron‐hole separation, rapid recombination, and wide bandgaps in anti‐fungal applications. We propose MN@Fe2N/CeO2 to directly eliminate fungi without drug resistance. Combining semiconductor CeO2's advantages with Fe2N's high work function and activity enables efficient Schottky heterojunctions ...
