Phytosociological studies are essential for the elaboration of conservation strategies for the Cerrado. The goal of this study was to survey two areas of cerrado stricto sensu: Fazenda Canaã and Fazenda Providência, located in the Municipality of Porto Nacional, State of Tocantins. There were 10 plots of 100 m2 allocated in each area.

Soil microbial C:N:P ratio across physiognomies of Brazilian Cerrado Soil microbial biomass across a gradient of preserved native Cerrado [PDF]
: Different physiognomies across the Cerrado could influence the microbial C:N:P ratio in the soil since these physiognomies present different abundance and diversity of plant species. Thus, the aim of this study was to evaluate the microbial C:N:P ratio

SUPPLYING AND DECOMPOSITION OF BURLAP IN A FRAGMENT OF CERRADO SENSU STRICTO
Considering the importance of nutrient cycling as an indicator in the maintenance of the ecosystem productivity, the present study aimed to assess the seasonal dynamics of production and decomposition rate of litter in a fragment of Cerrado sensu stricto. The litter collections were carried out monthly from june 2016 to may 2017, after which the leaves,

Survey of vegetation and its diametric distribution in an area of cerrado sensu stricto and riparian forest fragment at Dois Irmãos stream in the Area of Environmental Protection (APA) of Cafuringa, Federal District, Brazil. [PDF]
All individual trees with a diameter at breast height (DBH) of over 5cm, as well as the natural succession, were identified in 2,500m2 of the savannah (cerrado sensu stricto) area and in 5,000m2 of the “Dois Irmãos” riparian forest vegetation (15º30’19”S
