Dynamics of a geothermal field traced by noble gases: Cerro Prieto, Mexico
Abstract Noble gases have been measured mass spectrometrically in samples collected during 1977 from producing wells at Cerro Prieto. Positive correlations between concentrations of radiogenic (He and 40 Ar) and atmospheric noble gases (Ne, Ar and Kr) suggest the following dynamic model: the geothermal fluids originated from meteoric water that ...

REPETITIVE PRECISION GRAVITY STUDIES AT THE CERRO PRIETO AND HEBER GEOTHERMAL FIELDS [PDF]
To study subsidence and mass removal, a precise gravity network was established on 60 permanent monuments in the Cerro Prieto geothermal field in early 1978, and repeated annually through early 1981; the survey was tied to two bedrock sites outside the limits of the current production zone.

RESISTIVITY MONITORING OF FLUID MIGRATION AT THE CERRO PRIETO GEOTHERMAL FIELD
Apparent resistivities, measured by means of repetitive, dipole-dipole dc resistivity surveys since 1979, show significant and somewhat systematic changes over the area of the Cerro Prieto .cap alpha. reservoir. These changes are attributed to temperature and salinity changes, consequences of production, and natural recharge.
