Geochemical tracing in producing geothermal fields: A case study at Cerro Prieto
Geothermics, 1979Abstract Over 750 detailed chemical analyses of fluids, collected from 30 geothermal wells over 12 years of operation, were accumulated at Cerro Prieto, Mexico. These results are used as a case study to establish the physical and chemical processes taking place and to construct a geochemical model of the resource.

Geologic and Geophysical Study of Cerro Prieto Geothermal Field, Mexico: ABSTRACT
AAPG Bulletin, 1981The Cerro Prieto geothermal field is near the southwestern margin of the Colorado River delta, Baja California. The subsurface stratigraphy at Cerro Prieto is characterized by complex vertical and lateral variations in lithofacies, which is typical of deltaic deposits.

Geologic and Geothermal Fluid Flow Models of Cerro Prieto Field: ABSTRACT
AAPG Bulletin, 1983A detailed hydrogeologic model of the liquid-dominated Cerro Prieto geothermal field in Mexico (located in Baja California about 35 km [22 mi] south of the U.S. border) has been developed to identify subsurface geothermal fluid flow paths. This was accomplished by integrating downhole temperature profiles and depth of production intervals with a ...
