Virus surveys of commercial vineyards show value of planting certified vines [PDF]

open access: yesCalifornia Agriculture, 2019
Viruses are of great concern in vineyards. They cost the California wine grape industry as much as $91,661 per acre over the life of a vineyard, according to a 2015 economic study of the North Coast wine-growing region.

A new quantum random number generator certified by value indefiniteness [PDF]

open access: yesTheoretical Computer Science, 2021
In this paper we propose a new ternary QRNG based on measuring located value indefinite observables with probabilities $1/4, 1/2,1/4$ and prove that every sequence generated is maximally unpredictable, 3-bi-immune (a stronger form of bi-immunity), and its prefixes are Borel normal.

Preparation of Certified Reference Materials for Soil Limit Water Content

open access: yesYankuang ceshi, 2021
BACKGROUND Soil limit water content is an important basis for fine-grained soil classification and engineering property evaluation. Additionally, it is an important evaluation index for clay exploration and industrial utilization. Inaccurate test results

Preparation and Certification of a Soil Total Organic Carbon Reference Material

open access: yesYankuang ceshi, 2021
BACKGROUND Soil environmental reference materials are important technical tools for the quality control of soil environmental monitoring. However, there is no self-developed environmental matrix reference material with total organic carbon (TOC).

A quantum random number generator certified by value indefiniteness [PDF]

open access: yesMathematical Structures in Computer Science, 2014
In this paper we propose a quantum random number generator (QRNG) that uses an entangled photon pair in a Bell singlet state and is certified explicitly by value indefiniteness. While ‘true randomness’ is a mathematical impossibility, the certification by value indefiniteness ensures that the quantum random bits are incomputable in the strongest sense.

Application of gas chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry for certification of the reference material of «Dioxins» in animal fat

open access: yesСтандартные образцы, 2020
The article presents the results of applying gas chromatography - mass-spectrometry (GC-MS) and tandem mass spec-trometry (GC-MS/MS) methods for determination of certified values (mass fraction) of «Dioxins» - Polychlorinated Dibenzo-p-dioxins and ...

Preparation of Perlite Reference Material for Compositional Analysis

open access: yesYankuang ceshi, 2023
BACKGROUND Perlite is a vitreous rock formed by rapid cooling of volcanic eruptive acidic lava. It is a very important non-metallic mineral, because of its brittleness, light weight, rapid expansion on heating, and other excellent characteristics, and is

Value creation for tenants in environmentally certified buildings [PDF]

open access: yesBuilding Research & Information, 2016
Previous research suggests that environmental certification (EC) affects rental rates in non-residential buildings, but there is still little understanding of how tenants differentiate such buildings from those without EC. This paper examines whether and how tenants perceive value creation in EC premises in Sweden.
