Advanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.Rotating magnetic fields (RMFs) are widely used for microrobot propulsion and control. We show that RMF generation with permanent magnets is mechanically feasible for many limb and intracranial applications but becomes constrained for thoracic targets.

Robotics in Ionizing Radiation Environments: Vulnerabilities, Hardening, and Future Directions
Advanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.Radiation exposure causes cumulative degradation in robotic sensors, actuators, and electronic logic, often leading to undetected failures. This study maps component vulnerabilities, evaluates hardening and shielding strategies, and identifies testing gaps that must be addressed to enable next‐generation radiation‐tolerant robotic systems.

Rab1A Promotes Hepatic Steatosis by Suppressing Mitophagy via the Raf‐1/ERK1/2/PINK1 Signaling Axis
Advanced Science, EarlyView.Why does fat accumulate in the liver? Our study reveals Rab1A as the molecular switch that silences the cell's mitochondrial cleanup crew. Turning Rab1A off reactivates mitophagy, clears excess fat, and reverses fatty liver disease in mice—offering a promising new therapeutic target for MASLD, a growing global health challenge.
