Multisensory Integration for Identifying the Milling States in Robot‐Assisted Cervical Laminectomy
Diagram of the structure of the LSTM network model. The model starts with feature extraction of the input values by the LSTM layer, followed by output to the Linear layer, and finally the classification task is realized. ABSTRACT Objective In spinal surgery, precise identification of high‐speed bur milling states is crucial for patient safety.

Ancient Schwannoma of the Cauda Equina: our experience and review of the literature [PDF]
Ancient schwannomas (AS) are exceedingly rare variant of common schwannomas (CS). Only two cases involving the cauda equina region have been previously reported in literature.

All‐Level Versus Alternative‐Level in Unilateral Laminoplasty: A Retrospective Comparative Study
All‐level and alternative‐level fixation methods effectively support the lamina and prevent reclosure, with significant improvement in clinical symptoms in both groups at the final follow‐up, showing no significant difference in postoperative clinical outcomes. There are no differences in sagittal parameters.

Laminoplasty Techniques for the Treatment of Multilevel Cervical Stenosis
Laminoplasty is one surgical option for cervical spondylotic myelopathy. It was developed to avoid the significant risk of complications associated with alternative surgical options such as anterior decompression and fusion and laminectomy with or ...

Cervical Laminoplasty: The History and the Future
Cervical laminoplasty was developed as an alternative to cervical laminectomy for treatment of cervical myelopathy, in which hinges are created to lift the lamina. Various techniques of laminoplasty have since been developed after two prototype techniques: Hirabayashi's open-door laminoplasty and Kurokawa's spinous process splitting (double-door ...

A case of recurrent cervical spondylolisthesis following cervical laminoplasty
We report a case of recurrent cervical spondylolisthesis following cervical laminoplasty. A 77-year-old woman with progressive quadriplegia due to cervical spondylotic myelopathy (CSM) without spondylolisthesis was treated with C3 to 5 French-door ...

Magnetic resonance images depicting dropped head syndrome. ABSTRACT Introduction Dropped head syndrome (DHS) is characterized by weakness of the neck extensor muscles. However, few studies have assessed the cross‐sectional areas (CSAs) of the cervical paraspinal muscles (CPM) and their anterior–posterior balance in DHS.

Migration of cervical spine screws to the sacral canal: a case report
Cervical open door laminoplasty is widely used in multilevel decompression, which is a motion-sparing decompression treatment option for multilevel cervical myelopathy. Implant distance migration in cervical laminoplasty has not been reported.

The aim of this study was to elucidate a novel algorithm to guide the choice of surgical approaches for COPLL based on its location and extent. We proposed the following three main criteria for the classification: (1) the positional relationship between ossification and UP, (2) the K‐line, and (3) the ossification segment.
