Chondrosarcoma of the cervical spine
JAAPA, 2017ABSTRACT This case report describes the diagnosis, surgical treatment, and management of a patient with low-grade chondrosarcoma of the cervical spine that initially presented as myositis ossificans. This article describes the anatomy of the cervical spine and the most common types of fractures associated with the cervical spine. Cervical spinal cord syndromes are also reviewed because such syndromes discovered during neurologic examinations frequently provide the first clue that there is an underlying spinal cord injury.
