Das Cervixcarcinom ist nach dem Mammacarcinom, dem Ovarialcarcinom und dem Endometriumcarcinom das häufigste Genitalcarcinom der Frau. Die bisherige Krebsvorsorge bei der Frau konnte zu Beginn eine deutliche Abnahme des invasiven Cervixcarcinoms bewegen. Trotz regelmäßiger Krebsvorsorge, erkranken immer noch Frauen an einem solchem Carcinom.
