Differences between risk perception and risk-taking are related to impulsivity levels. [PDF]
Background Although there is broad agreement that perceived risks determine risk-taking behavior, previous research has shown that this association may not be as straightforward as expected.

Sensation Seeking, Non-contextual Decision Making, and Driving Abilities As Measured through a Moped Simulator. [PDF]
The general aim of the present study was to explore the relations between driving style (assessed through a moped riding simulator) and psychological variables such as sensation seeking and decision making. Because the influences of sensation seeking and

An Integrated Genetic Algorithm and Homotopy Analysis Method to Solve Nonlinear Equation Systems
Solving nonlinear equation systems for engineering applications is one of the broadest and most essential numerical studies. Several methods and combinations were developed to solve such problems by either finding their roots mathematically or formalizing such problems as an optimization task to obtain the optimal solution using a predetermined ...

A Novel Method for Solving Second Kind Volterra Integral Equations with Discontinuous Kernel
Load leveling problems and energy storage systems can be modeled in the form of Volterra integral equations (VIE) with a discontinuous kernel. The Lagrange–collocation method is applied for solving the problem. Proving a theorem, we discuss the precision

Study on Road‐Crossing Violations among Young Pedestrians Based on the Theory of Planned Behavior
Young pedestrians have a high rate of traffic violations and are vulnerable. In this study, theory of planned behavior (TPB) questionnaires were collected from a sample of 395 young pedestrians. Reliability analysis demonstrated that the TPB questionnaire was effective and credible. An analysis model was established based on the TPB.
