Results after several months follow-up (up to 6 years) show an arrest in development of lesions

[Cestode infection of Antarctic seals].

Parazitologiia, 1997
A helminthological material from 5 seal species (361 specimens) captured in the Pacific sector of Antarctica was examined. The host-parasite associations of cestodes, peculiarities of their locations, extensive and intensive infection rate were studied. Parasitological data are compared with the data on a host feeding.
