Flow Memory Effect on Open‐Frame Remotely Operated Vehicle Motion

open access: yesJournal of Field Robotics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The flow memory effect is a kind of viscous force caused by acceleration between continuous phases and underwater vehicles and the development of the boundary layer near the interfacial surface. This paper establishes a 6‐degrees‐of‐freedom unsteady equation of motion describing the flow memory effect on viscous hydrodynamic loads.

Biomimetic Approaches for Renewable Energy and Carbon Neutrality: Advancing Nature‐Inspired Approaches for Sustainable Development

open access: yesSustainable Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT As global non‐renewable energy sources depletes, achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 has become an urgent international priority, as outlined in the Paris Agreement. Renewable energy transition demands environmentally sustainable, economically viable, and energy‐efficient innovations.

Dynamics of Spatial Organization of Bacterial Communities in a Tunable Flow Gut Microbiome‐on‐a‐Chip

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
This study introduces a tunable flow Gut Microbiome‐on‐a‐Chip (tfGMoC), a facile platform to simulate gut motility‐driven hydrodynamic forces to investigate microbial dynamics in a 3D gut‐like structure (µGut). The findings demonstrate that hydrodynamic forces facilitate bacterial spatial exploration and influence the organization of microbial ...
