ADVANTAGES AND CONSTRAINTS OF CFD GREENHOUSE MODELLING

Acta Horticulturae, 2011
For the first attempts to model the greenhouse climate using Computer Fluid Dynamics (CFD), this approach has gained ground and the number of studies in this field is continuously growing in an increasing variety of application domains. As illustrated by the acceleration of the number of publications and the abundance of review papers on this topic ...

CFD Modeling of Data Centers

2020
This paper deals with the prediction of airflow and temperature distributions in data centers with the goal of achieving proper cooling of the computer equipment. The focus is on raised-floor data centers, but the material is equally applicable to other designs. First, the concept of a raised-floor data center is introduced and the cooling challenge is

CFD Modelling of Elastohydrodynamic Lubrication

World Tribology Congress III, Volume 1, 2005
Traditionally the problem of elastohydrodynamic lubrication (EHL) has been solved using the Reynolds equations for fluid flow. In this paper we explore the finite volume method (FVM) to model fluid behaviour in rolling-element bearing systems. The effect of cavitation is modelled with a barotropic cavitation model.

CFD modelling of flow at the epiglottis

2018
The upper airway is an important component of the human body, particularly the epiglottis and surrounding region. Studies have shown that in terms of retaining drug particles, the epiglottis is the most prominent region involved. However, a significan amount of research has not been completed in order to investigate and define a potential relationship ...
