CFD Model of a Mechanical Oscillator Flowmeter
Most of the studies on mechanical oscillator flowmeters were conducted in the ‘80s and ‘90s when computational fluid dynamics (CFD) was not a viable scientific tool in flow metrology. Still, many topics related to the application of mechanical oscillator flowmeters require further investigation.

Laser Powder Bed Fusion of Alumina: Effects of Scanning Strategies on External and Internal Defects
This study investigates how scanning strategies affect pure alumina in laser powder bed fusion. Linear 45° scanning yields uniform surfaces but high porosity, while the island‐concentric strategy provides higher density with through‐holes favorable for infiltration. Findings highlight pathways toward optimizing defect‐free alumina parts.

Assessment of Tabular Models Using CFD [PDF]
Tabular aerodynamic models are frequently used for computational flight simulation. It is necessary to understand the limitations of such models to ensure adequacy for the relevant manoeuvres. The assessment is carried out for an aerofoil with a trailing edge flap for both forced and free–response manoeuvres.

This article details the development of an artery‐on‐chip platform for in vitro arterial disease modeling and therapeutic discovery. It describes the fabrication of a fibrin biomaterial scaffold seeded with iPSC‐derived smooth muscle and endothelial cells, mimicking native artery properties. Two genetic disease models showcase the platform's ability to

CFD modelling of two-phase stirred bioreaction systems by segregated solution of the Euler–Euler model [PDF]
An advanced study of a bioreactor system involving a Navier–Stokes based model has been accomplished. The model allows a more realistic impeller induced flow image to be combined with the Monod bioreaction kinetics reported previously. The time-course of

CFD Modeling of Combustion in Biomass Furnace
Abstract Due to the need for the optimization of industrial furnaces Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is an important and indispensable tool for understanding for instance the mixing between flue gases, combustion air and the pollutant formation. This paper reports a computational fluid dynamics analysis of an industrial biomass boiler.

A CFD Model for Biomass Flame-Combustion Analysis [PDF]
The present work addresses the study of the combustion of individual biomass particle surrounded by a gas stream of N2/O2 under the operating conditions encountered in a drop tube reactor. The aim of this analysis is to give a better insight into the chemical and physical processes that occur both at particle and reactor scale where the volatiles ...

Windshield Defrost Simplified CFD Model [PDF]
Abstract The windshield defrost system, in general, is a vehicle safety feature. Thus, its restricted by variety of directives. However, the OMEs’ benchmark targets could be even more demanding as the deicing process is in addition also part of passengers comfort.
