Analysis of the input stage of the CFOA

AEU - International Journal of Electronics and Communications, 2010
Abstract The input stage design in current-feedback operational amplifiers (CFOAs) is primarily responsible for determining the performance of the amplifier, including input voltage range, input referred offset voltage and DC input current. This paper focuses on analysis of the input stage of the conventional CFOA. The outcome of the work gives clear

Wide-bandwidth CFOA with high CMRR performance [PDF]

open access: yesAEU - International Journal of Electronics and Communications, 2014
Abstract In this paper the authors analyze the conventional current-feedback operational amplifier (CFOA) in terms of common-mode-rejection ratio (CMRR) performance, and having identified the mechanism primarily responsible for the CMRR, they propose two new architecture CFOAs.

CFOA-based first-order voltage-mode universal filters

open access: yesAEU - International Journal of Electronics and Communications, 2023
© 2023 Elsevier GmbHIn this paper, two new CFOA-based first-order voltage-mode universal filters are proposed. Both of the filters use an additional unity gain-inverting amplifier.

New Universal Biquads Employing CFOAs

IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II: Express Briefs, 2006
Four new single-input-multi-output-type universal biquad filters using current-feedback operational amplifiers (CFOAs) are presented, which realize all the five standard filter functions (namely, low-pass, bandpass, high-pass, notch, and all-pass) from the same configuration, provide tunability of the various filter parameters in all the five responses,

CFOA-based fractional order simulated inductor

2016 IEEE 59th International Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems (MWSCAS), 2016
In this paper, a generalized fractional-order form of the simulated inductor using a single current feedback operational amplifier (CFOA) and a fractional-order capacitor is introduced. Analytical expression of the equivalent fractional-order inductor versus the circuit elements is achieved.

Effect of CFOA Nonidealities in Miller Integrator Cells

IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II: Express Briefs, 2004
The performance of the Miller integrator cells based on current feedback OpAmps (CFOAs) is evaluated. Inverting and noninverting structures are analyzed and compared to traditional implementations using voltage OpAmps (VOAs). Fundamental relations, useful for design purposes, are also carried out.

Advances in the Design of Bipolar/CMOS CFOAs and Future Directions of Research on CFOAs

2013
This chapter outlines recent advances in the design of bipolar and CMOS CFOAs and describes a number of new bipolar as well as CMOS CFOA architectures chosen from the ones reported in recent technical literature. Also included is a discussion about various modified forms of CFOAs which have been proposed recently (such as current-controlled CFOA ...

Filter circuits synthesis with CFOA-based differentiators

IMTC/99. Proceedings of the 16th IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Technology Conference (Cat. No.99CH36309), 2003
A new design approach for active RC biquadratic filter circuits using differentiators is presented. The method exploits current-feedback operational amplifiers as active elements. Compared to conventional op-amps, these amplifiers are characterized by a very high bandwidth and offer a more efficient frequency compensation.

Realizations of Grounded Negative Capacitance Using CFOAs

Circuits, Systems, and Signal Processing, 2010
The paper presents new realizations of grounded negative capacitance, using current feedback operational amplifiers (CFOAs), two resistors and one capacitor. All the proposed realizations are canonic in the number of passive components and do not require any critical component matching condition.
