Substrate Characterization of Mycobacterial Kinase PknG Revealing PknG‐KARS‐MAPK Phosphorylation Signaling Axis in Host

open access: yesiMetaMed, EarlyView.
This study employed multi‐omics approaches to investigate the regulatory mechanism of Mycobacterium PknG on host cell processes. We found that host lysine‐tRNA ligase (KARS) is a potential substrate of PknG; and PknG can regulate the immune response by catalyzing the phosphorylation of KARS at T592 and T595 sites, affecting the phosphorylation level in

Complement C3 mediates adolescent social isolation‐induced hippocampal synaptic deficits and sex‐specific emotional dysfunction

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Medicine, EarlyView.
Adolescent social isolation disrupts hippocampal function and exacerbates emotional symptoms, with sex‐specific patterns, as shown by human studies. In mice, social isolation decreased hippocampal synaptic density and calcium signaling, upregulated complement proteins, and activated complement‐mediated microglial synaptic phagocytosis.

Bose-Fermi mixtures in the molecular limit

open access: yes, 2014
We consider a Bose-Fermi mixture in the molecular limit of the attractive interaction between fermions and bosons. For a boson density smaller or equal to the fermion density, we show analytically how a T-matrix approach for the constituent bosons and ...

Woman on board, corporate social responsibility and financial performance: new evidence from China

open access: yesHumanities & Social Sciences Communications
There are mixed findings on the impact of women directors on board (WOB) on corporate financial performance (CFP). To reconcile these mixed findings, we propose that WOB could influence CFP in the following two ways.

Unlocking Antioxidant Potential: Interactions Between Cyanidin-3-Glucoside and Corbicula fluminea Protein

open access: yesBiology
Corbicula fluminea protein (CFP) and cyanidin-3-O-glucoside (C3G) are natural nutrient fortifiers. During consumption or processing, they may interact with each other, inducing alternations in their structural and functional properties.
