Measuring confidence and uncertainty during the financial crisis : evidence from the CFS survey [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The CFS survey covers individual situations of banks and other companies of the financial sector during the financial crisis. This provides a rare possibility to analyze appraisals, expectations and forecast errors of the core sector of the recent ...

The expressed needs of people with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/Myalgic Encephalomyelitis: A systematic review [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Background: We aimed to review systematically the needs for support in managing illness and maintaining social inclusion expressed by people with chronic fatigue syndrome/myalgic encephalomyelitis (CFS/ME) Methods: We carried out a systematic review of ...

Intermediate Resistive State in Wafer‐Scale Vertical MoS2 Memristors Through Lateral Silver Filament Growth for Artificial Synapse Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In MOCVD MoS2 memristors, a current compliance‐regulated Ag filament mechanism is revealed. The filament ruptures spontaneously during volatile switching, while subsequent growth proceeds vertically through the MoS2 layers and then laterally along the van der Waals gaps during nonvolatile switching.

Integration of Low‐Voltage Nanoscale MoS2 Memristors on CMOS Microchips

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This article presents the first monolithic integration of nanoscale MoS2‐based memristors into the back‐end‐of‐line of foundry‐fabricated CMOS microchips in a one‐transistor‐one‐resistor (1T1R) architecture. The MoS2‐based 1T1R cells exhibit forming‐free, nonvolatile resistive switching with ultra‐low operating voltages, low cycle‐to‐cycle variability ...

Effect of high glucose on the gene expression profiling in cardiac fibroblasts from rats at different ages [PDF]

open access: yesPeerJ
Background Cardiac fibroblasts (CFs) play a vital role in the physiological and pathological processes of the heart. Previous studies have demonstrated that high glucose stimulation induces the transformation of CFs into myofibroblasts, contributing to ...

Achieving High ON State Current through Ferroelectric Polarization‐Dependent Interfacial Resistance Switching in Undoped Orthorhombic HfO2 Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Ferroelectric tunnel junction devices based on epitaxial undoped ferroelectric HfO2 films demonstrate stable switching endurance of over 106 switching cycles, low write voltages of ±3 V, 16 measured resistance states, and neuromorphic capability.

Current research priorities in chronic fatigue syndrome/myalgic encephalomyelitis: Disease mechanisms, a diagnostic test and specific treatments [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) is an illness characterised by disabling fatigue of at least 6 months duration, which is accompanied by various rheumatological, infectious and neuropsychiatric symptoms.

Electrospun Wood‐Derived Biopolymers as Electrodes in Electrochemical Energy Storage Technologies

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Electrospinning transforms wood‐derived cellulose and lignin into architecturally defined, binder‐free carbon electrodes with tuneable porosity and functionality. This review shows how fibre design enables decoupled charge and mass transport, enhancing performance across battery systems, while identifying key challenges in spinnability, scalability ...
