We identify a female patient with a homozygous nonsense variant (p.Gln38Ter) in the LYSET gene. This is the first western report of a challenging case of an extensive diagnostic odyssey and demonstrates that the LYSET gene must be considered in the differential diagnosis when M6P‐labeled lysosomal enzymes are altered.

The economic effects of the fair tax: analysis of results of a dynamic CGE model of the US economy [PDF]
By replacing the current income tax with a national sales tax, the FairTax proposal would end the double taxation of saving inherent in the existing tax code and, by doing so, raise output, employment, investment and capital stock relative to the ...

Summary Symphyotrichum oolentangiense (Riddell) G.L. Nesom (Compositae: Astereae: Symphyotrichinae) is described and illustrated. A very brief biographical note of John Leonard Riddell, the collector and author of the species, is offered. Notes are provided for the species' cultivation, propagation, likely pests and diseases, and availability.

Global Trade Models and Economic Policy Analyses: Relevance, Risks and Repercussions for Africa [PDF]
Computable general equilibrium (CGE) models are widely used for trade policy analyses and recommendations. Simulation results from these models have also been used as a basis for offering advice to African countries on what positions to take in ...

So near and yet so far: Harmonic radar reveals reduced homing ability of nosema infected honeybees [PDF]
Pathogens may gain a fitness advantage through manipulation of the behaviour of their hosts. Likewise, host behavioural changes can be a defence mechanism, counteracting the impact of pathogens on host fitness.

A DSGE Consumption Function in a CGE Model: Parameter Estimation by CGE Simulation*
DSGE models incorporate attractive theoretical specifications of the behaviour of forward‐looking consumers facing an uncertain future. Central to these specifications is the idea that consuming agents decide their consumption level in year t by applying a function (policy rule) whose arguments represent information available in year t.
