CO2/CH4, CH4/H2 and CO2/CH4/H2 separations at high pressures using Mg2(dobdc)

Microporous and Mesoporous Materials, 2012
High-pressure separations of binary and ternary mixtures of CO2, CH4, and H2 are relevant to carbon dioxide capture as well as hydrogen and natural gas purification. Metal-organic frameworks represent a class of porous materials that could be used to accomplish these separations, and Mg2(dobdc) (dobdc4− = 1,4-dioxido-2,5-benzenedicarboxylate), also ...

A study of ClO2-CH4, ClO2-O2-CH4 and ClO2-N2 (OR Ar) CH4 flames at low pressures

Symposium (International) on Combustion, 1969
A burner has been built to stabilize the flames of ClO2-CH4 mixtures at low pressure. The flames near the maximum burning velocity have a complex structure: a blue cone, a white-pinkish mantle surrounded by a very bright green color. The emission spectrum exhibits very intense cool-flame bands (excited formaldehyde).

Hydrate formation of (CH4 + C2H4) and (CH4 + C3H6) gas mixtures

Fluid Phase Equilibria, 2001
Abstract Hydrate formation conditions of (CH 4 +C 2 H 4 ) and (CH 4 +C 3 H 6 ) binary gas mixtures in the presence of pure water were measured in a sapphire cell using the “pressure search” method. The experimental temperature-range was 273.7–287.2 K, and pressure-range was 0.53–6.6 MPa.

Infrared spectra of the F−–CH4 and Br−–CH4 anion complexes

International Journal of Mass Spectrometry, 2002
Abstract Infrared spectra are obtained for the F − –CH 4 and Br − –CH 4 anion complexes in the region of the C–H stretch vibrations of the CH 4 sub-unit. Spectra of both species exhibit two bands in the 2500–3000 cm −1 range. One band, a perpendicular transition distinguished by characteristic Q branches, is slightly red shifted from the ν 3 ...

Excess thermodynamic properties of the liquid systems A-CH4 and CO-CH4

Physica, 1962

CO2-CH4 Membrane Separation

2015
Raw natural gas and biogas, used as energy supplies, have to be treated in order to eliminate undesirable inert and corrosive species, in particular water and co2. Membrane separation technology is an attractive alternative to traditional methods of gas mixture separation and purification.

[Atmospheric CH4 concentrations and the correlation between CH4 and CO concentrations].

Guang pu xue yu guang pu fen xi = Guang pu, 2010
Methane (CH4) is an important greenhouse gas and a key molecule in tropospheric photochemistry, some more potent than CO2. The remote-sensing experiments of CH4 were carried out in the fall of 2 000 in Beijng. The 6-day records of the atmospheric CH4 concentrations were examined by means of a time-series analysis using a fast Fourier transform with a ...
