Glossy privet (Ligustrum lucidum) invasion decreases Chaco Serrano forest bird diversity but favors its seed dispersers

Glossy privet (Ligustrum lucidum) is an aggressive invasive plant that replaces native forests and forms dense stands without understory in central Argentina. However, the consequences of these changes in terms of vegetation structure and composition in bird communities are unknown.

Con fin de conocer el recurso alimenticio utilizado por Apis mellifera L. en el Chaco Serrano, Jujuy, se estudió dos apiarios situados en el departamento El Carmen: finca experimental Dr. Emilio Navea, Severino y finca doña Hermes, El Pongo. Se trabajó con muestreos mensuales de miel realizando un corte en cuadros.
