Evaluation of the decay caused by Chaetomium globosum Kunze, in the course of time

open access: yes, 1987
The main research done on soft rot has been directed to determining, by microscopic study, the different stages of penetration into the wood of the fungi that cause it.

Growth and Mycotoxin Production by Chaetomium globosum Is Favored in a Neutral pH

open access: yesInternational Journal of Molecular Sciences, 2008
Chaetomium globosum is frequently isolated in water-damaged buildings and produces two mycotoxins called chaetoglobosins A and C when cultured on building material. In this study, the influence of ambient pH on the growth of C.

Onychomycosis caused by Chaetomium globosum Kunze

Mycopathologia, 1991
In this paper we report a case of onychomycosis caused by Chaetomium globosum. The patient had lesions of the fingernails of the left hand. The direct microscopical examination of the nails showed light-brown hyphae with thick-walled cells. The histopathological examination revealed thick aggregated hyphal element in the nail plate.

The meiotic configuration of Chaetomium globosum

Mycopathologia et Mycologia Applicata, 1973
Nuclear behavior during ascus development inChaetomium globosum was studied with the use of acetocarmine and aceto-orcein staining techniques. The chromosome behavior, including centriolar bodies and asynchronous disjunction of chromosomes, agreed with the basic pattern reported in Ascomycetes (Olive, 1965).
