The chaetotaxy, ontogeny and musculature of the antennule of podocopan ostracods (Crustacea)
Journal of Zoology, 2005The ontogeny of the musculature and segments of the antennule of Heterocypris incongruens (Ramdohr, 1808) is documented. The musculature of the antennule of the juveniles indicates that during ontogeny the additional segments originate by existing segments dividing. Previously presented hypotheses are tested with these new data. Smith & Martens' (2000)

Zootaxa, 2008
Chaetotaxy is probably the most important character system used to diagnose species in Entomobryidae, but its use in studies of phylogenetic relationships of suprageneric taxa has been hampered by difficulties in identifying the homology of individual setae.

Ontophylogenetic Considerations on the Chaetotaxy of Caeculidae (Acari — Prostigmata)
1973On tbe basis of a comparative study of the post-larval development of the chaetotaxy of many species of Caeculidae we may distinguish two basic chaetotactic stages: I. The initial ontogenetic stage of the larval chaetotaxy. This is identical for all species whose larvae are known, the difference consisting only in the relative structure of setae.

Integrative systematics in Protura: from chaetotaxy to DNA.
2015The growth in knowledge about Protura, after their relative recent discovery (SILVESTRI, 1907), remained rather limited. Due to their small body size, and to their cryptic lifestyle in the soil, only few specialists are able to determine these insects to species level.

[Evidence and importance of the larval chaetotaxy in the Monogenea Monopisthocotylea].
Comptes rendus hebdomadaires des seances de l'Academie des sciences. Serie D: Sciences naturelles, 1976The larva of Ergentrema mugilis Paperna, 1964 (Ancyrocephalidae) occurring in Liza ramada (Risso, 1826) is described for the first time including the primary haptor description as well as the chaetotaxy. In addition, the sensillae position, previously unknown in the larva of Dactylogyrus extensus Muëller and Van Cleave, 1932 (Dactylogyridae) a parasite

A Revised Nomenclature for the Chaetotaxy of the Mosquito Larva (Diptera: Culicidae)
American Midland Naturalist, 1950The recent recognition of species complexes within populations formerly believed to represent a single species has focused the attention of students of mosquitoes to a reexamination of characters previously used in the separation of species and to a search for new morphological features useful in diagnosis.

[Morphology and chaetotaxy of Sanguinicola armata cercaria (Trematoda: Sanguinicolidae)].
Parazitologiia, 2005A morphological description of Sanguinicola armata cercaria is given. This larva belongs to the group of brevifurcate and apharingeal cercariae. Mouth opening is on ventral surface of the anterior organ. The body and branches of the furca bear a membrane. The body/tail ratio is much more than in other cercariae of the family Sanguinicolidae.
