On almost specification and average shadowing properties

open access: yes, 2013
In this paper we study relations between almost specification property, asymptotic average shadowing property and average shadowing property for dynamical systems on compact metric spaces.

Invariant Measure and Universality of the 2D Yang–Mills Langevin Dynamic

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We prove that the Yang–Mills (YM) measure for the trivial principal bundle over the two‐dimensional torus, with any connected, compact structure group, is invariant for the associated renormalised Langevin dynamic. Our argument relies on a combination of regularity structures, lattice gauge‐fixing and Bourgain's method for invariant measures ...

Fastest mixing Markov chain on graphs with symmetries

open access: yes, 2007
We show how to exploit symmetries of a graph to efficiently compute the fastest mixing Markov chain on the graph (i.e., find the transition probabilities on the edges to minimize the second-largest eigenvalue modulus of the transition probability matrix).

An objective Bayesian method for including parameter uncertainty in ensemble model output statistics

open access: yesQuarterly Journal of the Royal Meteorological Society, EarlyView.
Conventional model output statistics and ensemble model output statistics methods for calibrating ensemble forecasts lead to severe underestimation of the probabilities of ensemble extremes (in blue). This is because they ignore statistical parameter uncertainty.

Enhancing trust transfer in supply chain finance: a blockchain-based transitive trust model

open access: yesJournal of Cloud Computing: Advances, Systems and Applications
Artificial intelligence and blockchain technology have become indispensable in the era of the digital economy, particularly in the field of financial financing. However, when it comes to supply chain finance (SCF), existing models primarily focus on risk

“There Are Places Full of Beauty”: Desettling High School Students' Scientific Writing

open access: yesScience Education, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study contributes to desettling and expanding expectations about the forms of scientific language that belong in students' scientific writing. The primary empirical focus is the analysis of 52 high school student abstracts articulating community‐based investigations, submitted as part of their participation in a student conference in a ...

Limit Average Shadowing and Dominated Splitting

open access: yesپژوهش‌های ریاضی, 2020
Introduction The influence of persistence behavior of a dynamical system on tangent bundle of a manifold is always a challenge in dynamical systems. Persistence properties have been studied on whole manifold or on some pieces with independent dynamics ...

Exploratory Analysis of Sustainable Consumption and Production Factors in Services: Insights From Four Case Studies Using Interpretive Structural Modeling

open access: yesSustainable Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study investigates how 14 sustainable consumption and production (SCP) factors interact across four service categories—Mass Service, Professional Service, Service Factory, and Service Shop—using interpretive structural modeling (ISM). ISM enables the identification and hierarchical classification of interdependencies among SCP factors in ...

Markov chains with quasitoeplitz transition matrix [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Stochastic Analysis, 1989
This paper investigates a class of Markov chains which are frequently encountered in various applications (e.g. queueing systems, dams and inventories) with feedback. Generating functions of transient and steady state probabilities are found by solving a special Riemann boundary value problem on the unit circle.
