Alkali Chalcogenido Dialuminates A 6[Al2 Q 6] (A = K, Rb, Cs; Q = S, Se, Te)
Seven new alkali chalcogenido aluminates A6[Al2Q6] (A = K‐Cs, Q = S‐Te) complement the family of simple metallates(III) A6[M2Q6] (M = Al‐In, FeIII) with dinuclear anions of two edge sharing [AlQ4] tetrahedra. Despite the similar anions, straightforward bonding situation and physical properties, these metallates crystallize in seven different structure ...

The isolation and solid‐state structures of the two disulfate‐containing pnictogenates [SeCl3][Pn(S2O7)2] (Pn = Sb, Bi), as well as the mixed‐anionic As2[S2O7]2[S3O10] are presented. The former two consist of complex ∞1{[Pn(S2O7)1/1t(S2O7)2/2e]‐}$$ {\infty }^{1}\left\{{\left[\mathrm{Pn}{\left({\mathrm{S}}_{2}{\mathrm{O}}_{7}\right)}_{1/1}^{\mathrm{t}}{\

S‐Adenosylmethionine (SAM) hydrolases counter increased SAM epimerisation in thermophilic archaea
S‐Adenosyl‐l‐methionine (SAM) is a vital enzyme cofactor. Epimerisation at the sulfonium centre of biologically active (SS,SCα)‐SAM is driven by heat, yielding biologically inactive (RS,SCα)‐SAM. Here, two novel archaeal SAM hydrolases from the thermophilic Sulfolobus acidocaldarius and the halophilic Haloferax volcanii are shown to cleave (RS,SCα)‐SAM.

Wafer‐scale, room temperature synthesis of S‐doped CuI achieves high‐performance transparent p‐type electrodes. Pre‐doping enables precise control of crystallinity and hole density, yielding 86% transmittance and 75 Ω sq−1 sheet resistance. A record‐high figure of merit of 95 000 MΩ−1 and excellent flexibility across diverse substrates are demonstrated.

Ionothermal synthesis in Lewis‐acidic ionic liquids (ILs) yields two new low‐dimensional pnictogen–selenide networks cocrystallized with Cu[AlCl4]. Both are narrow‐gap semiconductors that exhibit strong absorption throughout the visible range. Topochemical AlCl3 extraction triggers partial delamination, pointing to a viable route toward 2D derivatives.

The performance of Cu‐based photocathodes in photoelectrochemical CO2 reduction is not governed by catalytic sites alone, but by the dynamic journey of photogenerated carriers. This review decodes how carrier generation, recombination, transport, accumulation, extraction, and electrolyte coupling shape catalytic activity, selectivity, and stability ...

This work explores how colloidal CuInSe2 nanocrystals form functional field‐effect transistors when their native ligands are replaced with short inorganic species that promote charge transport. By systematically adjusting nanocrystal dimensions, surface treatments, film characteristics, and device architecture, the study maps the resulting electronic ...
