Laser-stimulated birefringence of Ga2O3-La2S2.95Se0.05 glasses for optical recording of information
We show an opportunity to change the birefringence of Ga2O3 – La2S2.95Se0.05 glasses doped by Er3+ and La3+ ions at λ = 1150 nm wavelength of cw He-Ne laser under illumination of the femtosecond laser.

Photoplastic effects in chalcogenide glasses: A review
A synopsis of the various photoinduced changes of rheological, mechanical and elastic properties is presented in the first part of the article. After a critical appraisal of a large body of experimental data it suggested that the photoviscous effect ...

Ordered three‐dimensional anodic aluminum oxide (3D‐AAO) nanoarchitectures with longitudinal and transverse pores enable architecture‐driven metamaterials. The review maps fabrication advances, including hybrid pulse anodization, and shows how 3D‐AAO templates tailor properties across magnetism, energy, catalysis, and sensing.

A Colloidal Quantum Dot Thermistor and Bolometer
This work introduces colloidal quantum dot thermistors employing a potential barrier structure to tune the activation energy of transport and hence the temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR). Upon integration with plasmonic absorbers, the CQD‐based bolometer device enables room‐temperature wavelength‐selective photodetection across the mid‐ to ...

Comparison of loss in silica and chalcogenide negative curvature fibers as the wavelength varies
We computationally study fiber loss in negative curvature fibers made with silica, As2S3 chalcogenide, and As2Se3 chalcogenide glasses with a fixed core-diameter-to-wavelength ratio of 30. We consider both simple and nested geometries as the transmission

Thin chalcogenide capillaries as efficient waveguides in the mid-IR - THz spectral range
We present chalcogenide glass As2Se3 capillaries as efficient waveguides in the mid-IR and THz spectral ranges. The capillaries are fabricated using a double crucible glass drawing technique. The wall thickness of the glass capillary is properly designed
