Behavior of copper chalcogenides during vacuum-thermal processing

open access: yesMetalurgija, 2023
In this work, thermodynamic functions of evaporation of copper chalcogenides (Cu2S, Cu2Se, and Cu2Te) are determined via previously published data and thermodynamic values obtained by the authors of the work.

Fabrication of FeSe1-x superconducting films with bulk properties

open access: yes, 2010
We have fabricated high-quality FeSe1-x superconducting films with a bulk Tc of 11-12 K on different substrates, Al2O3(0001), SrTiO3(100), MgO(100), and LaAlO3(100), by using a pulsed laser deposition technique.

Ladder‐Like Structural Architecture of Layered Magnetic A2.4 Cr8Te14 (A = Rb, Cs) Compounds by Self‐Flux Synthesis

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
A2.4Cr8Te14$A_{2.4}{\rm Cr}_{8}{\rm Te}_{14}$ (A = Rb, Cs) compounds exhibit a layered, ladder‐like Cr‐Te framework uniting structural motives of hollandite‐like and delafossite‐like phases. Alkali atoms are situated both in the interlayer space and tunnels within the Cr8Te14${\rm Cr}_{8}{\rm Te}_{14}$ framework.

Superconductivity at T_c ~ 14 K in Single Crystalline FeTe$_{0.61}$Se$_{0.39}$

open access: yes, 2009
Single crystalline FeTe$_{0.61}$Se$_{0.39}$ with a sharp superconducting transition at $T_{\textrm{c}} \sim$ 14 K is synthesized via slow furnace cooling followed by low-temperature annealing.

Design Principles for Next Generation of Small Organic Molecules for Photodynamics Therapy Revealed by Nonadiabatic Molecular Dynamics

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Molecular design reshapes the landscape of excited‐state relaxation. Nonadiabatic dynamics reveal how electronic structure guides population flow between competing pathways beyond static energetic arguments. ABSTRACT Nitrobenzochalcogenadiazole derivatives are emerging candidates for photodynamic therapy (PDT), yet the precise mechanisms governing ...

Cationic Sulfonium‐Based Tripodal Ligand and Its Rh(I) Complexes

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
We report a cationic EP3‐type tripodal ligand based on an aromatic sulfonium cation (E = S+) along with a series of its Rh(I) complexes. Structural, spectroscopic, electrochemical, and computational analyses of these complexes compared to isostructural analogs (E = Si− or P) reveal pronounced electron density depletion at Rh in the sulfonium congener ...

Cationic Phosphino Beryllium Scorpionates and their Reactivity as Lewis Acid–Base Pairs

open access: yesChemistryEurope
Herein, the article describes a facile and modular access to cationic beryllium phosphine complexes [TpBe(PR3)]+ (PR3 = PMe3, PEt3, PPh3, PCy3, PMe2Ph, PMePh2), which are stabilized through a monoanionic tris(pyrazolyl)borate (Tp) ligand.

Electronic structure and the glass transition in pnictide and chalcogenide semiconductor alloys. Part I: The formation of the $pp\sigma$-network

open access: yes, 2010
Semiconductor glasses exhibit many unique optical and electronic anomalies. We have put forth a semi-phenomenological scenario (J. Chem. Phys. 132, 044508 (2010)) in which several of these anomalies arise from deep midgap electronic states residing on ...

Achievement of Transition Metal Chalcogenides/Oxides in Hydrogen Production by Seawater Electrolysis

open access: yesEcoEnergy, EarlyView.
Transition metal chalcogenides (TMCs)/oxides have shown great application potential in seawater splitting for hydrogen generation due to their adjustable electronic properties, abundant active sites, and excellent catalytic performance. ABSTRACT Under the impetus of global “dual carbon” goals, green hydrogen has become a key component of the future ...
