Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Classical Capacity of A Quantum Multiple Access Channel

open access: yes, 2000
We consider the transmission of classical information over a quantum channel by two senders. The channel capacity region is shown to be a convex hull bound by the Von Neumann entropy and the conditional Von Neumann entropy.

Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

Multiple Access Relay Channel With Relay-Sources Feedback

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
Feedback analysis on the rate region of multi-user channels is a problem of great importance in information and communication theory. In this paper, the Slepian-Wolf multiple access relay channel (SW-MARC) with relay-sources feedback is studied as a more

LDPC Codes over Gaussian Multiple Access Wiretap Channel

open access: yes, 2018
We study the problem of two-user Gaussian multiple access channel (GMAC) in the presence of an external eavesdropper. In this problem, an eavesdropper receives a signal with a lower signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) compared to the legitimate receiver and all ...

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Cooperation and Underlay Mode Selection in Cognitive Radio Network

open access: yes, 2016
In this research, we proposes a new method for cooperation and underlay mode selection in cognitive radio networks. We characterize the maximum achievable throughput of our proposed method of hybrid spectrum sharing.

Organizing the interface—Plasma membrane architecture and receptor dynamics in virus‐cell interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

AAA+ protein unfoldases—the Moirai of the proteome

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
AAA+ unfoldases are essential molecular motors that power protein degradation and disaggregation. This review integrates recent cryo‐electron microscopy (cryo‐EM) structures and single‐molecule biophysical data to reconcile competing models of substrate translocation.

To Sense or Not To Sense [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
A longer sensing time improves the sensing performance; however, with a fixed frame size, the longer sensing time will reduce the allowable data transmission time of the secondary user (SU).
