Performance evaluation of channel estimation techniques for a proposed '4G' MC-CDMA based system in a time varying channel [PDF]
This paper investigates the performance of channel estimation techniques applied to a proposed fourth generation (4G) multi carrier - code division multiple access (MC-CDMA) system.

Source-channel coding for the multiple-access relay channel [PDF]
This work considers reliable transmission of general correlated sources over the multiple-access relay channel (MARC) and the multiple-access broadcast relay channel (MABRC). In MARCs only the destination is interested in a reconstruction of the sources, while in MABRCs both the relay and the destination want to reconstruct the sources.

Adaptive multi-channel MAC protocol for dense VANET with directional antennas [PDF]
Directional antennas in Ad hoc networks offer more benefits than the traditional antennas with omni-directional mode. With directional antennas, it can increase the spatial reuse of the wireless channel.

Homologous Codes for Multiple Access Channels [PDF]
Building on recent development by Padakandla and Pradhan, and by Lim, Feng, Pastore, Nazer, and Gastpar, this paper studies the potential of structured nested coset coding as a complete replacement for random coding in network information theory. The roles of two techniques used in nested coset coding to generate nonuniform codewords, namely, shaping ...

Noncooperative equilibrium solutions for spectrum access in distributed cognitive radio networks [PDF]
This paper considers the problem of channel selection and dynamic spectrum access in distributed cognitive radio networks. The ability of a cognitive radio to adaptively switch between channels offers tremendous scope to optimize performance.

Age of Information in Random Access Channels [PDF]
In applications of remote sensing, estimation, and control, timely communication is not always ensured by high-rate communication. This work proposes distributed age-efficient transmission policies for random access channels with $M$ transmitters.
