Spatial channel and system characterization

2008 International Conference on Advanced Technologies for Communications, 2008
With the emergence of the multi-antenna systems, the spatial information becomes particularly significant to the modern communications systems. In this paper we present a new technique to describe and to characterize the channels and systems in space and in wave vector domains.

Wideband characterization of scattering channels

Tenth International Conference on Antennas and Propagation (ICAP), 1997
A statistical approach using a parametric spectral conversion of singular value decomposition Prony (SVD-P) is introduced to provide better resolution in channel characterization. The approach has been applied to analysing the transfer function of a transhorizon channel captured using a wideband channel sounder.

On-Body Diversity Channel Characterization

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2010
Statistical analysis of the on-body diversity combined and branch signals are presented. The distribution of short-term fading envelopes of the branch and combined signals show that the fading environment for the on-body channels is Rician. The long-term fading best fits the log-normal distribution.

Residential indoor RF channel characterization

IEEE 43rd Vehicular Technology Conference, 2002
The results of propagation measurements made at 915 MHz and 1900 MHz inside suburban homes are presented. Data on path attenuation, background noise, and the worst-case rms delay spread of the RF propagation are presented. Results are presented for path attenuation predicted by ray tracing techniques for line-of-sight (LOS) channels within the home ...

Characterization of Potassium Channel Binding

Current Protocols in Pharmacology, 1999
AbstractThis unit provides an introduction to the binding of specific ligands to K+channels that are expressed in a number of different preparations. The assays described can be used for screening a large number of compounds for interaction at specific binding sites and provides, in selected cases, details of expected results for unlabeled ligands that

Wideband mobile radio channel characterization

Deliverable D3.1: Channel characterization of outdoor VLC channel

2014
Visible Light Communication (VLC) systems using light emitting diodes (LEDs) are very challenging especially in outdoor environments. Long distance data communication using this system is not only impaired by several natural and artificial light sources but also restricted by the transmitted optical power due to human eyes safety. This report discusses
