Channel coding lies at the heart of digital communication and data storage, and this detailed introduction describes the core theory as well as decoding algorithms, implementation details, and performance analyses. In this book, Professors Ryan and Lin provide clear information on modern channel codes, including turbo and low-density parity-check (LDPC)

Channel coding and space-time coding for wireless channels [PDF]
This thesis is based on the research of channel coding. First, we give an introduction to the family of conventional Bose-Chauduri-Hocquenghem (BCH) codes, characterising the performance of various BCH codes. Then we further our research into turbo codes employing BCH codes as the component codes.

We have considered a random process or source {X n } as a sequence of random entities, where the object produced at each time could be quite general, e.g., a random variable, vector, or waveform. Hence sequences of pairs of random objects such as {X n ,Y n } are included in the general framework.
