Approaches to Channel Equalization

2012 Second International Conference on Advanced Computing & Communication Technologies, 2012
Communication is an integral part of our life in which digital communication is playing a dominant role. Many difficulties are faced in communication and intersymbol interference is one of them. In this paper its possible solution "equalization" is presented. The circuit or equipment used to achieve equalization is called an equalizer.

Blind channel equalization

IEEE Potentials, 1999
Signals that pass through a channel undergo various forms of distortion. One very common type of distortion is intersymbol interference, or ISI. ISI is caused by interference from the symbols that were transmitted before and after the given symbol. ISI-induced errors can cause the receiver to misinterpret the received samples.
