Denoising Generalization Performance of Channel Estimation in Multipath Time-Varying OFDM Systems

open access: yesSensors, 2023
Although Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) technology is still the key transmission waveform technology in 5G, traditional channel estimation algorithms are no longer sufficient for the high-speed multipath time-varying channels faced by ...

Deep Learning-Based Wireless Channel Estimation for MIMO Uncoded Space-Time Labeling Diversity

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Uncoded space-time labeling diversity (USTLD) is a space-time block coded (STBC) system with labeling diversity applied to it to increase wireless link reliability without compromising the spectral efficiency.

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Distributed Estimation with Channel Estimation Error over Orthogonal Fading Channels

open access: yes2007 Conference Record of the Forty-First Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems and Computers, 2007
We study distributed estimation of a source corrupted by an additive Gaussian noise and observed by sensors which are connected to a fusion center with unknown orthogonal (parallel) flat Rayleigh fading channels. The fading communication channels are estimated with training.

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Channel Modelling and Estimation for Shallow Underwater Acoustic OFDM Communication via Simulation Platform

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
The performance of underwater acoustic (UWA) communication is heavily dependent on channel estimation, which is predominantly researched by simulating UWA channels modelled in complex and dynamic underwater environments.

Deep Learning-Based Channel Estimation for mmWave Massive MIMO Systems in Mixed-ADC Architecture

open access: yesSensors, 2022
Millimeter-wave (mmWave) massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems can significantly reduce the number of radio frequency (RF) chains by using lens antenna arrays, because it is usually the case that the number of RF chains is often much ...

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.
