ParEst: joint estimation of the OFDM channel state information in MIMO systems

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking, 2020
OFDM channel state information (CSI) is needed for determining key parameters in MIMO transmissions. In this paper, a novel CSI estimation method, ParEst, is proposed, which estimates the CSI from multiple transmitting antennas simultaneously.

Fading Broadcast Channels With State Information at the Receivers [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 2012
Despite considerable progress on the information-theoretic broadcast channel, the capacity region of fading broadcast channels with channel state known at the receivers but unknown at the transmitter remains unresolved. We address this subject by introducing a layered erasure broadcast channel model in which each component channel has a state that ...

On the Gaussian MIMO Relay Channel With Full Channel State Information [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, 2009
This paper addresses the problem of source and relay transmit covariance optimization on the Gaussian MIMO relay channel with full channel state information (CSI), i.e., assuming perfect knowledge of all channels. For full-duplex relaying, we show that the cut-set bound on capacity can be computed as the solution of a convex problem, thus providing a ...

Behavior Recognition Method Based on Channel State Information in Through-the-Wall [PDF]

open access: yesJisuanji gongcheng, 2021
The passive behavior recognition method provided by Wi-Fi CSI has been applied in many scenarios, but the existing systems hardly consider the scene where the signal passes through the wall, or the sharp decline in recognition accuracy after the signal ...

Smartphone-Based Indoor Fingerprinting Localization Using Channel State Information

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Indoor localization technology plays an important role in many indoor application scenarios. Existing WiFi-based indoor localization methods mainly obtain channel state information (CSI) through the personal computer, or obtain coarse-grained received ...

Fountain code design for data multicast with side information [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
—Fountain codes are a robust solution for data multicasting to a large number of receivers which experience variable channel conditions and different packet loss rates.

Interference management with mismatched partial channel state information

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking, 2017
We study the fundamental limits of communications over multi-layer wireless networks where each node has only limited knowledge of the channel state information.

The Broadcast Approach in Communication Networks

open access: yesEntropy, 2021
In this paper we review the theoretical and practical principles of the broadcast approach to communication over state-dependent channels and networks in which the transmitters have access to only the probabilistic description of the time-varying states ...

Channel Charting: Locating Users Within the Radio Environment Using Channel State Information

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
We propose channel charting (CC), a novel framework in which a multi-antenna network element learns a chart of the radio geometry in its surrounding area.
