Bifurcation analysis of the Henon map

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2000
Division of the parameter plane for the two-dimensional Hénon mapping into domains of periodic and chaotic oscillations is studied numerically and analytically. Regularities in the occurrence of different motions and transitions are analyzed. It is shown

A simple method for detecting chaos in nature

open access: yes, 2020
Chaos, or exponential sensitivity to small perturbations, appears everywhere in nature. Moreover, chaos is predicted to play diverse functional roles in living systems.

Multiparameter Closed‐Loop Control to Advance Reliability of Aerosol Jet Printing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A multiparameter framework for closed‐loop control of aerosol jet printing is developed to improve process consistency over both short and long timescales. By creating a control architecture responsive to the dynamic behavior of the printing system, variability in functional electrical properties is significantly reduced over extended duration printing,

Hyperelastic Starch Hydrogel Configures Edible and Biodegradable All‐Components for Soft Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Hyperelastic starch hydrogel is tailored via a phase separation strategy of solvent‐antisolvent co‐modulation. The mechanical performance of starch hydrogel is widely tuned with maximum strains: 194.4–361.4%; maximum tensile stresses: 34–192 kPa; and Young's moduli: 36.0–205.8 kPa. Notably, the hydrogel achieves complete soil degradation within 24 days

Theoretical foundation for the discrete dynamics of physicochemical systems: Chaos, self-organization, time and space in complex systems

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 1997
A new theoretical foundation for the discrete dynamics of physicochemical systems is presented. Based on the analogy between the π-theorem of the theory of dimensionality, the second law of thermodynamics and the stoichiometry of complex physicochemical ...

Deterministic chaos in an ytterbium-doped mode-locked fiber laser

open access: yes, 2018
We experimentally study the nonlinear dynamics of a femtosecond ytterbium doped mode-locked fiber laser. With the laser operating in the pulsed regime a route to chaos is presented, starting from stable mode-locking, period two, period four, chaos and ...

Artificial Tactile Perception System for Exploring Internal and External Features of Objects via Time‐Frequency Features

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By engaging in different active exploration behaviors, the tactile perception system can generate distinct signal modes, enabling the application of targeted decoding strategies for efficient and accurate perception of both external and internal object features.

Quantum Chaos & Quantum Computers

open access: yes, 2000
The standard generic quantum computer model is studied analytically and numerically and the border for emergence of quantum chaos, induced by imperfections and residual inter-qubit couplings, is determined.

CHB‐Induced Immune Zonation Chaos Elicited LXRα‐mediated Lipid Metabolism Disorders in Kupffer Cells to Induce Cancer Stem Cell Formation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By profiling the spatiotemporal hepatic landscape of CHB mouse models, the originally peri‐portal localized KCs migrated to the peri‐central in a CXCL9‐CXCR3‐dependent manner, facilitating their interaction with HBV+ hepatocytes. The interaction promoted LMD in KCs through ASGR1‐induced LXRα degradation, which, in turn, induced CSC formation via Stat3 ...

Non-Extensive Statistical Analysis of Energetic Particle Flux Enhancements Caused by the Interplanetary Coronal Mass Ejection-Heliospheric Current Sheet Interaction

open access: yesEntropy, 2019
In this study we use theoretical concepts and computational-diagnostic tools of Tsallis non-extensive statistical theory (Tsallis q-triplet: q s e n ,   q r e l ,   q s t a t ), complemented by other known tools of nonlinear ...
