In considering which research problems to work on next, one must consider the key uses for future computing technology. To such roles are the support of interpersonal communication and the management, analysis and synthesis of massive amounts of information.

This work is motivated by the believe that the perpetual search for order in life is to search for harmony and completion. Order is born from the success of one random combination in a sea of several chaotic possibilities, but achieving it only opens the door to another chaotic situation.

Chaos in plethysmograms during tracking chaos
2010 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man and Cybernetics, 2010A tracking experiment was designed to observe how chaotic variations in ear plethysmogram were related to tracking targets with different predictabilities including chaos. We found the maximum Lyapunov exponent computed from plethysmograms had higher value during tracking chaotic orbital signals in compare with both simply deterministic signal and ...

Integrative Physiological and Behavioral Science, 1994
A bird's eye view of the role of nontrivial dynamical phenomena in physiological systems is presented. Many levels in the physiological hierarchy are affected. It appears that physiology has a particularly high affinity to chaos. The old central place of physiology in the circle of sciences can perhaps be regained if the two disciplines join resources.

Model checking would answer all finite-state verification problems, if it were not for the notorious state-space explosion problem. A problem of practical importance, which attracted less attention, is to close open systems. Standard model checkers cannot handle open systems directly and closing is commonly done by adding an environment process, which ...

Improvement and empirical research on chaos control by theory of “chaos + chaos = order”
Chaos: An Interdisciplinary Journal of Nonlinear Science, 2012This paper focuses on advancing the understanding of Parrondian effects and their paradoxical behavior in nonlinear dynamical systems. Some examples are given to show that a dynamics combined by more than two discrete chaotic dynamics in deterministic manners can give rise to order when combined.
