‘Turkeys Cannot Vote for Christmas’: Why Epistemic Disobedience in an Anti‐Black World Matters

open access: yesAustralian Journal of Social Issues, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Never in the history of global coloniality has the idea of epistemic disobedience been as important as in the 21st century. This is not only because the struggle for decolonisation has shifted from physical confrontation between the coloniser and the colonised into a battle of ideas but also because the former has deployed the idea of ...

Exploring the links between Large Igneous Provinces and dramatic environmental impact

An emerging consensus suggests that Large Igneous Provinces (LIPs) and Silicic LIPs (SLIPs) are a significant driver of dramatic global environmental and biological changes, including mass extinctions.

N-Systems Function Projective Combination Synchronization—A Review of Real and Complex Continuous Time Chaos Synchronization

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
As an important branch in the field of chaos, chaos synchronization (CHS) has attracted great attentions since it was firstly proposed. In this review article, numerous types of continuous time CHS are presented for the past 29 years.

Severe, Non‐apneic Respiratory Dysfunction and Hypoxia following Generalized Convulsive Seizures

open access: yesAnnals of Neurology, EarlyView.
Objective Sudden unexpected death in epilepsy (SUDEP) is a devastating consequence of some generalized convulsive seizures (GCS). Recent work has focused on seizure related apnea as a biomarker of SUDEP risk, frequently without characterizing the adequacy of non‐apneic ventilation or identifying other dysfunctional breathing patterns.

Generalized Synchronization with Uncertain Parameters of Nonlinear Dynamic System via Adaptive Control

open access: yesThe Scientific World Journal, 2014
An adaptive control scheme is developed to study the generalized adaptive chaos synchronization with uncertain chaotic parameters behavior between two identical chaotic dynamic systems.

Chaos control and chaos synchronization of a multi-wing chaotic system and its application in multi-frequency weak signal detection

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2021
In this paper, first, a nonlinear feedback controller for achieving chaos control of a novel multi-wing chaotic system is presented. The nonlinear feedback controller has two parts.

Synchronization between variable time delayed systems and cryptography

open access: yes, 2007
In this letter we consider a prototype model which is described as an autonomous continuous time delayed differential equation with just one variable. The chaos has been investigated with variable delay time and the synchronization phenomenon is examined

New insights into epileptic spasm generation and treatment from the TTX animal model

open access: yesEpilepsia Open, EarlyView.
Abstract Currently, we have an incomplete understanding of the mechanisms underlying infantile epileptic spasms syndrome (IESS). However, over the past decade, significant efforts have been made to develop IESS animal models to provide much‐needed mechanistic information for therapy development.

Communication in Quantum Dot Light Emitting Diode with Optoelectronic Feedback Technique

open access: yesمجلة علوم ذي قار, 2020
A communication scheme based on the synchronization of two chaotic quantum dot light emitting diodes is theoretically examined. The Chaos in the quantum dot light emitting is generated by means of a positive optoelectronic feedback technique ...

Ketogenic diet for infantile epileptic spasms

open access: yesEpilepsia Open, EarlyView.
Abstract Approximately half of all cases of Infantile Epileptic Spasms Syndrome (IESS) do not respond to vigabatrin and hormonal therapies. There is no clear consensus as to the second‐line therapy for IESS. Ketogenic diet (KD) has emerged as an effective treatment for certain drug‐resistant epilepsies and in many cases of IESS.
