Identifying Key Questions and Challenges in Microchimerism Biology

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies key unanswered questions about microchimerism, the presence of cells from one individual living in another. Experts highlight how these cells may affect health, pregnancy, and disease. This study outlines research priorities and challenges in detecting and studying these rare microchimeric cells, aiming to guide future discoveries

Symmetry Breaking in Chemical Systems: Engineering Complexity Through Self‐Organization and Marangoni Flows

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We show that solutal Marangoni flows in thin films climbing the outer surfaces of hydrophilic obstacles break circular Belousov‐Zhabotinsky waves into striking flower‐like patterns. Evaporation‐driven surface‐tension gradients, coupled with gravity, trigger the instability; above a threshold, petal number scales linearly with obstacle diameter ...

Neuromorphic Computing with Memcapacitors: Advancements, Challenges, and Future Directions

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Neuromorphic computing reduces energy costs by integrating memory and processing in event‐driven architectures, achieving energy usage as low as 10–30 pJ per operation for memcapacitor‐based synapses. Memcapacitors are reviewed as strong contenders for neuromorphic computing, enhancing AI acceleration through charge‐based computations, high resistance,

Solubility Does Not Matter: Engineered Anode Architectures Activates Cost‐Effective Metals for Controlled Lithium Morphology in Li‐Free all‐Solid‐State Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Li‐free ASSBs offer high energy and safety but rely on costly noble metals (e.g. Ag) for stable cycling. This study shows that lithiophilicity alone cannot ensure stable Li morphology. By engineering interfacial design to spatially guide Li nucleation and growth, cost‐effective metals are reactivated for dense, aligned deposition—unlocking a broader ...

Unraveling chaos: A topological analysis of simplicial homology groups and their foldings

open access: yesOpen Mathematics
In this article, we introduce a new type of simplicial homology group called the chaotic simplicial homology group. We construct the structure of this group and obtain some types of conditional foldings and unfoldings restricted to the elements of the ...

Multiscale Coupling Between Macroscopic Mechanics and Atomic Assembly (MM–AA) of Soft‐Lattice Halide Perovskites

open access: yesAggregate, EarlyView.
This review clarifies the multiscale coupling mechanisms between macroscopic mechanics (e.g., surface tension, fluid shear, interfacial stress) and atomic assembly, highlighting the importance of mechanical regulation in suppressing solute aggregation and guiding crystal orientation.

Colorimetric/Fluorescent Dual‐Mode Sensing of Mercury Ions and Solid‐Phase On‐Site Fast Detection Using AIE‐Active Coumarin Derivative TXDS

open access: yesAggregate, EarlyView.
We innovatively designed coumarin‐based probe TXDS, constructing superior AIE via intramolecular conformational regulation. TXDS enables sensitive Hg2⁺ detection (0.1–1 µM) with 100 nm Stokes shift and dual‐mode capability. Colorimetric sensing extends the range 10‐fold, combining a wide dynamic range with high sensitivity.
