Quantum chaotic scattering in microwave resonators [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review E, 2010
In a frequency range where a microwave resonator simulates a chaotic quantum billiard, we have measured moduli and phases of reflection and transmission amplitudes in the regimes of both isolated and of weakly overlapping resonances and for resonators with and without time-reversal invariance.

Diagnosis of Chaotic Ferroresonance Phenomena Using Deep Learning

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
Ferroresonance is a non-linear and dangerous resonance phenomenon that can affect power networks and damage electrical equipment. The ferroresonance phenomenon is examined by dividing it into classes, with chaotic ferroresonance being the most dangerous ...

Random bit generation based on a self-chaotic microlaser with enhanced chaotic bandwidth

open access: yesNanophotonics, 2023
Chaotic semiconductor lasers have been widely investigated for high-speed random bit generation, which is applied for the generation of cryptographic keys for classical and quantum cryptography systems.

Reflection Time Difference as a Probe of S-Matrix Zeroes in Chaotic Resonance Scattering [PDF]

open access: yesActa Physica Polonica. A, 2019
Motivated by recent interest in the zeroes of S-matrix entries in the complex energy plane, I use the Heidelberg model of resonance scattering to introduce the notion of Reflection Time Difference which is shown to play the same role for the {\it zeroes}

Parametric Feedback Resonance in Chaotic Systems [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 1996
If one changes the control parameter of a chaotic system proportionally to the distance between an arbitrary point on the strange attractor and the actual trajectory, the lifetime τ of the most stable unstable periodic orbit in the vicinity of this point starts to diverge with a power law.

Exploring noise effects in chaotic optical networks

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2017
We report the experimental evidence coherence and stochastic resonance in a dynamics of fast chaotic spiking of a semiconductor laser with optical feedback using an external nonwhite noise in the pumping current.

A chaotically driven model climate: extreme events and snapshot attractors [PDF]

open access: yesNonlinear Processes in Geophysics, 2011
In a low-order chaotic global atmospheric circulation model the effects of deterministic chaotic driving are investigated. As a result of driving, peak-over-threshold type extreme events, e.g.

Transition mechanisms of translational motions of bubbles in an ultrasonic field

open access: yesUltrasonics Sonochemistry, 2023
The translation behaviors of oscillating bubbles are closely related to the polymerizations and dispersions between them, which are crucial for the ultrasonic cavitation effect.

Stochastic resonance in deterministic chaotic systems

open access: yesJournal of Physics A: Mathematical and General, 1994
We propose a mechanism which produces periodic variations of the degree of predictability in dynamical systems. It is shown that even in the absence of noise when the control parameter changes periodically in time, below and above the threshold for the onset of chaos, stochastic resonance effects appears.
