Coherent resonance in the modified Vyshkind – Rabinovich model [PDF]
Background and Objectives: The paper presents the results of theoretical study of the coherence resonance phenomenon in the modified Vyshkind – Rabinovich model. The model describes the chaotic dynamics of three parametrically interacting modes one

Dynamics and Control of Tethered Satellite System in Elliptical Orbits under Resonances
This paper studies resonance motions of a tethered satellite system (TSS) in elliptical orbits. A perturbation analysis is carried out to obtain all possible resonance types and corresponding parameter relations, including internal resonances and ...

Dynamics and Information Import in Recurrent Neural Networks
Recurrent neural networks (RNNs) are complex dynamical systems, capable of ongoing activity without any driving input. The long-term behavior of free-running RNNs, described by periodic, chaotic and fixed point attractors, is controlled by the statistics

Supersharp resonances in chaotic wave scattering [PDF]
Wave scattering in chaotic systems can be characterized by its spectrum of resonances, $z_n=E_n-i\frac{ _n}{2}$, where $E_n$ is related to the energy and $ _n$ is the decay rate or width of the resonance. If the corresponding ray dynamics is chaotic, a gap is believed to develop in the large-energy limit: almost all $ _n$ become larger than some $ $

Localization of Chaotic Resonance States due to a Partial Transport Barrier. [PDF]
Chaotic eigenstates of quantum systems are known to localize on either side of a classical partial transport barrier if the flux connecting the two sides is quantum mechanically not resolved due to Heisenberg's uncertainty.

Chaotic waveguide-based resonators for microlasers [PDF]
We propose the construction of highly directional emission microlasers using two-dimensional high-index semiconductor waveguides as {\it open} resonators. The prototype waveguide is formed by two collinear leads connected to a cavity of certain shape. The proposed lasing mechanism requires that the shape of the cavity yield mixed chaotic ray dynamics ...

Coherent resonance in the microwave chaos generators [PDF]
The purpose of this study is the observation of coherent resonance phenomenon in two microwave single-mode chaos generators with a delayed feedback under external noise influence.

Influence of classical resonances on chaotic tunneling [PDF]
Dynamical tunneling between symmetry-related stable modes is studied in the periodically driven pendulum. We present strong evidence that the tunneling process is governed by nonlinear resonances that manifest within the regular phase-space islands on which the stable modes are localized.
