Cross-Validation for the Uncertain Chapman-Richards Growth Model with Imprecise Observations
International Journal of Uncertainty, Fuzziness and Knowledge-Based Systems, 2020Regression analysis estimates the relationships among variables which has been widely used in growth curves, and cross-validation as a model selection method assesses the generalization ability of regression models. Classical methods assume that the observation values of variables are precise numbers while in many cases data are imprecisely collected ...

Comparison of the Chapman-Richards Function with the Schnute model in stand growth
Journal of Forestry Research, 1997The Chapman-Richards Function and its two exception cases in applications were discussed and compared with the Schnute model in stand growth studies. Compared from all perspective, it was found that the Schnute model commonly used in forestry was identical to the Chapman-Richards function.

Abstract The Chapman-Richards generalization of yon Bertalanffy's growth model is discussed as a basis for the development of practically useful theory of basal area growth and yield of even-aged coniferous monocultures. The origin and generalization of von Bertalanffy's growth model is explored and its applicability to tree and stand ...
