Characteristic identification of seismogenic electromagnetic anomalies based on station electromagnetic impedance

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science, 2023
The main components of seismo-electromagnetic research are the deep underground electromagnetic seismogenic environment, electromagnetic field changes at different stages of the seismogenic process, and the physical mechanism and change rules of ...

Sensing and Impedance Characteristics of YbTaO4 Sensing Membranes [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2018
AbstractIn this study we developed ytterbium tantalum oxide (YbTaO4) sensing membranes for use in electrolyte–insulator–semiconductor (EIS) pH sensors. The influence of rapid thermal annealing (RTA) treatment on the sensing and impedance properties of the YbTaO4 sensing membranes deposited through reactive co-sputtering onto Si substrates was explored.

Transmission lines characteristic impedance versus Q-factor in CMOS technology

open access: yes, 2021
This paper presents a systematic comparison of the relationship between transmission line characteristic impedance and Q-factor of CPW, slow-wave CPW, microstrip, and slow-wave microstrip in the same CMOS back-end-of-line process.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Pulsatile Vascular Afterload Measurement Improves Prediction of Right‐Sided Heart Dysfunction in Undifferentiated and Left‐Sided Pulmonary Hypertension

open access: yesJournal of the American Heart Association: Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Disease
Background The association between raised pulmonary artery pressures, pulmonary vascular resistance (PVR), and right‐sided heart dysfunction is well recognized.

Development of a Microimpedance Pump for Pulsatile Flow Transport - Part 1: Flow Characteristics of the Microimpedance Pump. Part 2: A Systematic Study of Steady and Pulsatile Transport in Microscale Cavities [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Microfluidics offers an effective means to carry out a wide range of transport processes within a controlled microenvironment by drawing on the benefits imparted by increasing surface area to volume ratio at the microscale.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Stability Criterion of Subsynchronous Oscillation of Direct Drive Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator Based on Impedance Polynomial Fitting

open access: yes发电技术, 2020
Impedance analysis is the leading method of solving the stability issues of grid-connected renewable energy generation systems. Taking the grid-connected system of direct drive permanent magnet synchronous generator (D-PMSG) as an example, the ...

The Apparent Constant-Phase-Element Behavior of a Disk Electrode with Faradaic Reactions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Geometry-induced current and potential distributions modify the global impedance response of a disk electrode subject to faradaic reactions. The problem was treated for both linear and Tafel kinetic regimes.
