Catalyst characterization: characterization techniques

Catalysis Today, 1997
The most remarkable difference between catalysis during the 50s and 60s and nowadays is the remarkable development of characterization techniques. Various factors contributed to that growth: (i) need of having a better control on the catalyst in order to meet the requirements for further optimization of processes already in operation and/or for ...

Characterization Techniques

2016
© 2017 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.Solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (SSNMR) not only is a reliable tool to determine the structure of organic molecular compounds, but also has developed into a suitable technique to characterize graphene oxide (GO) and has the potential to make structural analysis of GO derivatives possible.

PMD characterization techniques

Optical Fiber Communication Conference. Technical Digest Postconference Edition. Trends in Optics and Photonics Vol.37 (IEEE Cat. No. 00CH37079), 2002
Random birefringence causing transmission impairments in optical fibers is characterized by first- and second-order polarisation mode dispersion (PMD) vectors. These are measured by time domain or frequency domain techniques. Results showing low-noise high-resolution PMD data are described.
