High-strength charcoal briquette preparation from hydrothermal pretreated biomass wastes

open access: yesFuel Processing Technology, 2018
Abstract The waste cotton stalk (CS) and wood sawdust (WS) biomass samples pretreated by two different thermal methods (dry torrefaction (DT) and hydrothermal treatment (HT) at 200, 230, 260 °C, respectively) were densified to prepare biomass briquette and then carbonized at 400 °C to prepare charcoal briquette without any binders.

Characteristics of Charcoal Briquettes Corn Cobs Charcoal with the Addition of Areca Peel Charcoal

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2021
Abstract Corn cobs and areca peel are biomass waste that can be used in the form of charcoal briquettes as an alternative source of energy because they contain lignin and cellulose. The purpose of this research was the best obtain character briquettes from a combination corn cobs charcoal and areca peel charcoal.

ELABORATION OF CHARCOAL BRIQUETTES, FROM EUCALYPTUS VEGETABLE CHARCOAL (Eucalyptus globulus)

open access: yes, 2023
Charcoal char is a fine residue of coal, which has no commercial value. This charcoal can be used to convert it into a type of charcoal, called briquettes. These have the same function as traditional charcoal, however, due to their composition and elaboration process by which a product of equal size and weight is obtained in each type of briquette ...
