Interleukin‐5, Eosinophils, and Interleukin‐5 Pathway Inhibitors in Eosinophilic Granulomatosis With Polyangiitis

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, Volume 78, Issue 6, Page 1196-1205, June 2026.
Interlukin‐5 (IL‐5) plays a crucial role in the pathogenesis of eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA) by promoting eosinophil differentiation, activation, and survival. We present here a typical case of EGPA in which treatment with IL‐5 pathway inhibitors is prescribed, showing to be beneficial for the patient.

Biological Drivers of IMiD‐Induced Peripheral Neuropathy in Multiple Myeloma

open access: yeseJHaem, Volume 7, Issue 3, June 2026.
ABSTRACT The introduction of immunomodulatory drugs (IMiDs), such as thalidomide, lenalidomide and pomalidomide, have led to significant improvements in multiple myeloma (MM) treatment. Many patients now live 10 years or longer with their disease, making treatment‐related side effects increasingly important.

Current Topics of Progressive Cardiac Conduction Disease

open access: yesJournal of Arrhythmia, Volume 42, Issue 3, June 2026.
Many genes and the protein cause PCCD. Mutation of NaV1.5 or CX40 cause isolated PCCD, but mutation of lamin A/C, emerin, or desmin lead to cardiomyopathy, and PCCD. Mutation of transcription factor NCX2‐5, and Tbx5 associated with atrial septal defect and abnormal development of conduction system.

High Radiological Severity in CRSwNP Is Associated With a Mixed Type 2/Type 3 Epithelial Inflammatory Signature

open access: yesLaryngoscope Investigative Otolaryngology, Volume 11, Issue 3, June 2026.
This study demonstrates that high radiological severity in patients with CRSwNP is uniquely characterized by a mixed Type 2 and Type 3 epithelial inflammatory signature. These findings suggest that severe disease involves a complex immune endotype, providing new insights into precision therapeutic strategies for refractory CRSwNP.
