The Roles of Civil Society Associations in Organising the Informal Circular Economy

open access: yesSustainable Development, Volume 34, Issue S1, Page 148-169, January 2026.
ABSTRACT A circular economy (CE) transition requires more than technological innovation and market‐based solutions. It demands a circular society that values informal repair, reuse and sharing practices. This study investigates how civil society associations (CSAs) support such practices in an industrialised setting.

An Extended Amplitude Range Readout Circuit for Charged Particle Detection–BEAR 2

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics, Volume 131, Issue 1, January 2026.
Abstract Charge sensitive amplifiers (CSA) form the first stage of most detector readout circuits. The operating range of the readout circuits depends on the saturation limits of the Charge sensitive amplifiers, thereby limiting the range of the detector system as well. A number of methods have been introduced to extend the dynamic range of the readout

A review of advances in pixel detectors for experiments with high rate and radiation

open access: yes, 2018
The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) experiments ATLAS and CMS have established hybrid pixel detectors as the instrument of choice for particle tracking and vertexing in high rate and radiation environments, as they operate close to the LHC interaction points.

Evaluation of an event‐driven 3FI ASIC for spectroscopic X‐ray detection with synchrotron radiation

open access: yesJournal of Synchrotron Radiation, Volume 33, Issue 1, Page 154-161, January 2026.
A new event‐driven, energy‐resolving ASIC intended for full‐field X‐ray fluorescence imaging is presented. Its frameless mode of operation was validated on a synchrotron beamline using a bump‐bonded, 2D segmented silicon sensor, demonstrating per‐pixel energy measurements with event‐driven readout.

Development of an anti-Compton veto for HPGe detectors operated in liquid argon using Silicon Photo-Multipliers

open access: yes, 2011
A proof of concept detector is presented for scintillation light detection in liquid argon using Silicon Photo-Multipliers. The aim of the work is to build an anti-Compton veto for germanium detectors operated directly in liquid argon like in the GERDA ...
