Validation of experimental charge-density refinement strategies: when do we overfit?
A cross-validation method is supplied to judge between various strategies in multipole refinement procedures. Its application enables straightforward detection of whether the refinement of additional parameters leads to an improvement in the model or an ...

ADP‐ribosylation: An emerging regulator of the epigenome
ADP‐ribosylation has emerged as a dynamic epigenetic signaling mechanism that modifies histones and chromatin‐associated proteins. Through coordinated PARylation and MARylation, it integrates with other histone modifications to regulate chromatin structure, transcription factor activity, and gene expression, influencing genome function and disease ...

Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

YIPFα1A expression is regulated by multilayered molecular mechanisms
YIPFα1A, a five‐pass Golgi protein, is regulated at multiple layers. (1) Rare‐codon enrichment drives translation‐coupled mRNA decay. (2) A proximal 3′‐UTR element stabilizes mRNA. (3) A distal 3′‐UTR element included by alternate poly(A) site usage represses translation, which can be overridden by the proximal 3′‐UTR element.

Abstract New data on elastic electron scattering from 4 He at medium momentum transfers are presented. The charge density and rms-radius (1.674 ± 0.012 fm) are obtained from a model-independent analysis of all available electron scattering data. Together with previous μ- 4 He data this allows to verify the QED vacuum polarization term to ±0.25%.

Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

Effect of warhead wall thickness on charge uniformity in industrial CT detection
Uniformity of warhead axial charge and influences of different warhead wall thicknesses on measurement results were studied by industrial computed tomography(CT).By comparing the differences of relative density values of the same simulation charge sample
